The Madison Hotel is conveniently located opposite Central Station on Devonshire Street in Surry Hills.

The Public Bar on the ground level is an institution, open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, where we offer great music in a funky environment, cheap beers (especially for the city), Keno, a jukebox and two pool tables plus Fox and Setanta sports on three large television screens.   

With major renovations completed on the first floor, the old Hippo Lounge has been transformed into the The Vine Bar and Bistro. Warm chocolate colours and earthy green textures help you relax into the mood along with a beautiful outdoor courtyard for those of you who prefer to sit outside (heated in winter). The Vine Bar specialises in long lunches or a quick bite so you can get back to the office, dinners, after work drinks, corporate functions along with birthday and engagement parties.

Don't miss out on Happy Hour Monday - Thursday from 5pm to 6pm, $3 local schooners and house wine plus $4 basic spirits and Fridays are Thank God Its Friday from 4pm - 6pm with $4 Heinekens and $3 house wine/bubbles. Monday - Thursday you can also grab a cheap lunch for $10 from our selected menu.

Thursdays you can order any one of our delicious cocktails in the Vine Bar from 6pm for only $8 and on Sundays we have a $10 Steak & Ale Deal where for just $10 you receive a free schooner of Coopers Pale Ale with your steak, chips and salad. What more could you ask for on a Sunday!
